International Missions

Trinity supports and actively participates in a number of excellent, rewarding missions across the entire United States. If you are interested in joining one of the Trinity Teams or have any questions, please contact the Trinity Church Office.

Philippines Mission

For over 15 years Trinity has been in partnership with Rev. Roger Porquillo, a Methodist pastor in the Philippines who has led several congregations over the years. Our financial support has helped provide Bibles and Christian education materials, instruments for a youth praise band, salaries for teachers, and much more. We regularly receive pictures and notes from Pastor Roger and his congregation as they seek to do the Lord’s work against challenges such as extreme poverty, tsunamis, and political violence.

Haiti – International Child Care (ICC) – Grace Children’s Hospital

ICC began sponsoring Trinity mission teams in 1987 and has become a regular point of interest in most mission trips sent to Haiti by providing support, safety, and transportation. ICC is linked directly to Grace Children’s Hospital which is an important medical asset to the city of Port-au-Prince and is visited by Trinity’s sponsored trips. Grace Children’s Hospital is a hospital, orphanage, and school for many children, in addition to providing medical treatment to adults. Many mission trips to Haiti have used Grace Children’s Hospital as a primary destination to bring basic supplies and share Christian fellowship with the children.

For more information visit the Grace Children’s Hospital website.

Haiti – Light and Peace Mission – Pastor Ronald

Light and Peace Mission is a Christian network of over 35 churches, schools, and orphanages in Haiti overseen by Pastor Ronald LeFranc of Bon Repos, Haiti. Pastor Ronald’s main church, school, and orphanage are located in Bon Repos. Through his connection to Dayspring Ministries—based in Chester, New Jersey—this ministry has touched the lives of many people in Haiti. Dayspring Ministries provides groups to Haiti approximately four times a year and also helps fund projects for the Light and Peace Mission. Trinity United Methodist Church has made a connection with Dayspring Ministries and will be using them to sponsor future mission trips to Haiti.

For more information visit Haiti’s Dayspring Ministries website.

What the Haiti Mission Means

Each year Trinity Church members travel to Haiti and in January 2013, representatives from our church humbly served, donated supplies, and spread the word of Jesus Christ. To understand the difference this annual mission makes to the children of Haiti and to the hearts of the missionaries from Trinity who travel there, read this compelling story — Home is Where the Heart Is — about what it meant to one mission member, Janelle McCarthy.

Dominican Republic

Trinity Church partners with Grace Children’s Hospital to provide play therapy training and supplies for developmentally disabled children, their parents, and healthcare workers.

A second organization supported by Trinity Church is Nueva Esperanza – New Hope Girls, Inc.– A safe home and school for girls who have been sexually abused/living in poverty.
