Local community ministries include:

1. The Lord’s Pantry - is a food distribution ministry offering bags of food to persons once a month. The pantry is open Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 9am – 12 noon. Food is distributed from the pantry, located in the "Barn." For additional information, visit our Ministries page.

2. Thrift Shop -is a full-time ministry providing good, used clothing, household items and furniture at extremely low prices. We have two locations – the main shop on Main Street, next to the Trinity office building, and the Furniture Annex, located in the "Barn" – adjacent to our main parking lot. The Furniture Annex now also houses a year round Christmas Shop. To access the Furniture Annex you should enter the property from E. Moore Street where you will find plenty of parking next to the entrance.

The Trinity Thrift Shop has been recently ranked as the second largest thrift shop in Northwest New Jersey, and many believe it is the best.

The Trinity United Methodist Thrift Shop recently celebrated its 39th year, having been established in 1974. The hours are Tuesday thru Saturday 9:00 am – 3:00 pm. and on Tuesday plus Thursday we are also open from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm. We are located at 211 Main Street in Hackettstown and can be reached at:

Donations

We accept gently used items, which are saleable/useable/wearable.  We are unable to take electronics, computers, printers, TV's, baby equipment, large toys, large appliances, mattresses, box springs, or exercise equipment due to either government regulations or space limitations. Shop volunteers may reserve the right not to accept items if they believe they cannot be sold.

We have "Trinity Treasures" which is quality merchandise at bargain prices.

A team of over 40 volunteers — who must be members of the church — stock shelves, assist customers, and do related tasks. They are under the direction of full-time directors, Maureen Storey for the shop and Joan Crouse for the Furniture Annex.

All items are donated to the shop, for which tax deductible forms are provided. Larger donated items may be picked up at homes by our church van. Please contact us for more information, 908-852-2247.
