Saying goodbye is never easy. But this weekend we say goodbye to Pastor Jenny Smith Walz – and her husband Bobby and son Elliott.
As we have announced, Pastor Jenny has been appointed by Bishop Schol to become the Senior Pastor of the Princeton UMC, effective July 1st.
Jenny has served us so very faithfully and well for 6 years as one of our Associate Pastors. We shall miss her, but know that God will work in mighty ways as she continues her ministry in Princeton.
You will note below where she is serving in worship this weekend, and we hope you will come and offer her your personal blessings.
Our sermon series called Experiencing the Holy One concludes this weekend with a message entitled “Believing God.” The Bible passage is John 11:1-27.
In addition, our services this weekend include:
SATURDAY NIGHT WORSHIP AT 5:00 – Pastor Anthony Pami will lead and preach and the Meanz of Grace praise band will share the music
SUNDAY WORSHIP –
8:15 CHAPEL – Pastor Jenny will lead and preach.
9:15 CONTEMPORARY SANCTUARY WORSHIP – Pastor Jenny will again lead and preach, with the Celebration Praise Band offering music.
10:45 TRADITIONAL SANCTUARY WORSHIP – Our Chancel Choir will offer music along with our Trinity Ringers and Peace Ringers. I’ll share the sermon and Pastor Jenny will be liturgist. We’ll be welcoming new members into the congregation.
-This is the last Sunday to order memorial and honoring carnations for Father’s Day….which is next Sunday.
-After the 9:15 service you can share in our monthly Greetings Ministry when you can take a few minutes to write a note to a person who is sick or homebound.
-FOR THOSE WHO HAVE SIGNED UP a reminder that the luncheon for Pastor Jenny is in Starr Hall at 12:15. Unfortunately, we are full of reservations and will not have room for those who did not sign up.
It’s another great weekend planned at Trinity…hope to see you.
Blessings and peace,
