  • Healing Wounded Hearts – Jan

Dear Trinity family,

“THE MOST TERRIBLE POVERTY IS LONELINESS”. So said Mother Theresa, who spent her life and ministry caring for the dying people in the streets of Calcutta, India. She gave her life to Jesus in this way because she didn’t want people to die alone. The reality of our living is that many people are terribly lonely – even in a crowd or a family. That’s why this weekend we continue our sermon series called Healing Wounded Hearts with a consideration of what the Bible says about loneliness. The sculpture passages we will look at are Psalm 25:1-17 and Romans 13:8-10.

SATURDAY NIGHT WORSHIP AT 5:00 – Our Ten Simple Rules praise band will lead us in music and Pastor Jenny will share the message.

SUNDAY WORSHIP

8:15 CHAPEL – Pastor Jenny again leads worship and brings the message.
9:15 – CONTEMPORARY SANCTUARY WORSHIP – Our Celebration Praise Band will provide worship music, Lou Ann Harris will read the scripture lesson and I’ll share the message.
10:45 – TRADITIONAL SANCTUARY WORSHIP – I’ll lead worship and preach and Pastor Don will assist.

In addition
-at the conclusion of our sanctuary services we hope to make a phone connection with our recently arrived Haiti Mission Team in Bon Repos – to hear a brief word about their morning worship
-you can share a moment of care by writing out a care note in our monthly greetings ministry (Sunday)
-you can order your Super Bowl hoagies from the UMMen
-you can sign up for the Secret Angel inter-generational program, which matches kids with secret angels for 4 weeks of surprise fun
-in our Just Say Yes form you can sign up for the Holy Lands seminars, the Lenten small group hosting and the Centenary University recognition we’ll have on Feb 4th.

And best of all you can share in the journey of faith and life with other Christians – simply by coming together at one of our services. I hope you will choose to make that a priority this weekend.
