Dear Trinity family,
When have you suffered? That’s a hard way to start this note but it relates directly to this week’s focus in our sermon series “Final Words from the Cross.” The words this week are Jesus’ gasp “I thirst.” We’ll look at this from a perspective far deeper than it may seem. You can read the brief text in John 19:28-29. In addition our services will include sharing from members of our recently returned Holy Lands pilgrimage team. Here are more details of the services:
SATURDAY NIGHT WORSHIP AT 5:00
Music will be shared by Meanz of Grace and Pastor Deb De Vos will bring the message. Sandy Ramsey will share a word about her holy land trip.
8:15 CHAPEL – Pastor Jenny Smith Walz will lead this quiet service in our chapel. Leslie Williams-Wexler will talk about her trip.
9:15 – CONTEMPORARY SANCTUARY WORSHIP – Our Celebration Praise Band will lead us in music and I’ll share the message. JoAnn Heembrock will speak about her time in Israel.
10:45 – TRADITIONAL SANCTUARY WORSHIP – Music will be shared by the Chancel Choir and I’ll offer the sermon. Mark Holland will speak about his Holy Land pilgrimage. We’ll also recognize some of our local scout organizations and participants (please invite Scouts you know to be with us.)
This weekend is the second of three opportunities to order Easter flowers for our Easter worship services.
And please remember that this Sunday afternoon is our congregation wide Vision Quest – the first step on our shared journey to begin discerning the vision God has for our congregation in the next season of our life together. You are welcome to join us in Trinity House at 12:15. If you have not yet signed up it would help if you do so by calling the church office (908-852-3020) but you are welcome to walk in as well. Please keep this important process in your prayers as we seek to discern God’s will for us in coming years.
