The March/April Mission of the Month ~ The Soccer Ball Project

THE MARCH/APRIL MISSION OF THE MONTH IS . . .
. . . The Soccer Ball Project

From Sunday, March 21st through Sunday, April 11th, Church School classes will be raising money to buy special soccer balls that are not only be used by children in other countries to play soccer with but are also used to share the Good News of Jesus Christ.
These soccer balls of “many colors” are also known as Energia soccer balls. In Spanish, “energia” means “power.”
It is through the variety of colors on each soccer ball, that God’s powerful message is shared with others.
During Church School Worship and at The Gathering on March 21st, Trinity member, Jane Galley, will be sharing more with us about the Energia soccer balls.

Stay tuned for more details!

The Famine ~ Coming

Famine Weekend - April 30-May 1

Our young people will once again be involved with the Famine to raise money and awareness for those who suffer from starvation and malnutrition on a daily basis. In the past our mission has been very global. This year we will take a more focused approach and concentrate our efforts on Haiti.

We are fortunate to once again to be joined by the students from Simpson UMC, Sparta UMC, and Newton UMC. Our theme this year will be SHAKEN—then STIRRED TO ACTION.

Our campus will be busy with many activities, worship, singing, working the Spring Festival, learning more about our brothers and sisters in Haiti, hearing from our own Haiti Mission Team, aiding the Lord’s Pantry, and drawing together in Christian Fellowship to Stir people up about how to make a difference.

Students from grades 6-12 are eligible to participate in the Famine from 6:00 Friday evening to 6:00 Saturday evening with the breaking of the fast.

Additional information will be available soon.
