“The Christian home is the Master’s workshop where the processes of character molding are silent, lovingly, faithfully and successfully carried on.” I believe that. Yet our family “workshop” is often spiritually neglected and undernourished. That is why we are spending the month of February during service addressing some important ways to renew the family, which is the title of the sermon series for the next 4 weeks. This weekend we explore the critical matter of boundaries in families. The Bible passage we will look at is Matthew 5: 33 – 37. In addition, other details of our 4 worship services this weekend include
SATURDAY AT 5:00 IN TRINITY HOUSE -The Meanz of Grace praise band will provide music for worship and the message will be shared by Anthony Pami. Holy Communion will be shared.
8:15 CHAPEL WORSHIP – Pastor Jenny Smith Walz will lead and share the sermon, with Holy Communion.
9:15 CONTEMPORARY SANCTUARY WORSHIP – Our Celebration Praise Band will provide music and I’ll share the sermon.
10:45 TRADITIONAL SANCTUARY WORSHIP – Our Chancel Choir will share music with us and I’ll share the sermon. In this service, we’ll also observe Human Relations Day, and recognize First Responders from our community and region. (Please invite any you know to our 10:00 reception and this worship service.)
In addition- all Sunday morning you can go to Starr Hall and order your hoagies in support of the Matt Torgersen Scholarship fund, a ministry of our United Methodist Men.
Whether you live alone or have many people under your roof…whether family is one person or many…whether they are “extended” family or “nuclear” – we all face challenges and even crises in our families.
So I urge you to make worship a priority in February – as we explore several ways to “Renew the Family.”
Blessings and peace be yours,
