Dogs mean a lot to a lot of you. Perhaps in memory when you had a dog as child…or years ago. Perhaps because you now have a dog as a pet. Or perhaps because you just know how much joy a dog brings to a family member or friend. We’re pleased at Trinity to share with you this weekend, the beginning of a series of messages on a book about a dog.
Our congregational reading book is titled “LESSONS FROM A SHEEPDOG”. About 275 have been sold to parishioners who are reading the book in preparation for our sermon series (we have about 75 left and will be selling them before and after our worship services this weekend, and after that they will be available through the church office – just $5.00). The book is written by a Christian who lived in Australia and worked as a sheepherder. Lass, his border collie, was his constant companion, and Philip Keller wrote this book to share spiritual lessons he gained from his work with his dog.
This weekend our message will be about knowing who your master is…and the Bible passage is John 10: 1-15.
Saturday Night Worship (SNW) – 5:00 IN TRINITY HOUSE – Pastor Anthony will share the message
8:15 CHAPEL – Rev. Paul Wells will be leading and preaching and his wife Jan will share a solo.
9:15 CONTEMPORARY SANCTUARY WORSHIP – The Celebration Praise band will help us praise God with music, we’ll welcome special guests from Peace Islands Institute, and hear a word about our small groups. I’ll share the sermon.
10:45 TRADITIONAL SANCTUARY WORSHIP – Our Chancel Choir and Peace Ringers will share music, we’ll baptize two precious little souls and we’ll again welcome the Peace Islands guests. Also, on this Bible Sunday we’ll present Bibles to our 3rd graders and our Confirmation Class members. Sadly, we’ll say goodbye to our church organist Mary Rose Kummerfeldt.
