A Word from the Thrift Shop

Written by Thrift Shop Director, Maureen Storey

Ahhhhh….June.  Typically, we would be chattering on about the beautiful weather, the flowers in bloom, the weddings, the graduations, the upcoming vacations.  This is a very different year.  We do have flowers in bloom, but the weddings, showers, graduations, parties, trips, and vacations are canceled or on hold.

The Thrift Shop is making some changes to adapt to these new days and new ways to make our enterprise safer for all who work, volunteer, donate, or shop with us.  First, we have sanitized our spaces, installed extra hand sanitizers in all our areas and sneeze guards and new laminate countertops at our check-out stands for safety and ease of sanitizing, and we have gloves and masks.  These herald a new world for us.  I’m sure there will be more changes.  There will be new policies forthcoming regarding donations and how we move about our public space.

Currently, we’re posting many items from the Thrift for sale online.  You can check these out on our Facebook page (Trinity Thrift Shop); Instagram (Trinitythriftshop211); eBay (Catchthespiritthrift).  You can make a purchase over the phone with a credit/debit card or purchase through PayPal (you don’t need an account).  You can have a contactless curbside pickup for free or have it shipped to you.  Lots of choices!

Meanwhile, we’re toiling away looking for the best items to bring to you, while making the necessary changes for our new world to keep us all safe and well.  May your June bring you joy, blessings and keep you in good health.
