There is a civil war going on. It is within us, as we struggle to do what God wants but are often derailed by our own selfish desires. This is the theme of our first weekend of Lent and our new 6 week Lenten study called, RESTORED: FINDING REDEMPTION IN OUR MESS.
This weekend’s Bible verses are Luke 18:9-14 and Romans 7:18-19. The sermon is called “The Civil War of the Soul.” Jesus calls “come to me all who are weary and I will give you rest.”
One of the ways we come is in the sacrament of Holy Communion, when we come to Jesus’ table and share the sacred meal.
This first weekend of Lent we celebrate Holy Communion in all 4 worship services.
I hope you will make a special effort to attend.
Other details of our worship services include:
SATURDAY AT 5:00 IN TRINITY HOUSE -The Meanz of Grace praise band will lead us in music and Rev. Deb De Vos will share the sermon.
8:15 CHAPEL WORSHIP – Rev. Jenny Smith Walz will lead and share the sermon.
9:15 CONTEMPORARY SANCTUARY WORSHIP – The Celebration Praise Band will lead in music and I’ll share the sermon.
