Church Alive – May 27th and 28th

Dear Trinity Church family,

Sometimes you just have to celebrate; birthdays, anniversaries, losing 2 pounds! Celebrations are moments to reflect on something good, and that’s why the next four weekends of worship at Trinity will include moments to celebrate the good that God is doing at and through Trinity.
These next four weekends are unique: Pentecost (the birthday of the Church), Confirmation (32 students will become Christians), testimonies (as people share their stories of how their lives have been impacted by Trinity), our scholarship presentations (when we bless many students with partial financial college scholarships), and much more! Each worship service will be unique but will celebrate the CHURCH ALIVE – our 4-week focus banner.

I really hope you’ll attend a service weekly to share in this great and joyful month of celebration. Our sermon series in this time is What Good is the Church? This weekend our Bible text is Matthew 5:1-16.

Other details of our weekend worship services include:

SATURDAY AT 5:00 IN TRINITY HOUSE – The Meanz of Grace praise band will lead us in music, and Pastor Don Gebhard will offer the sermon.

8:15 CHAPEL WORSHIP – I will lead and share the sermon.
9:15 CONTEMPORARY SANCTUARY WORSHIP – The Celebration Praise Band leads us in music and Pastor Don Gebhard will offer the sermon. We will hear a brief testimony from Mike Rennie about Trinity’s impact on his life and family.
10:45 TRADITIONAL SANCTUARY WORSHIP – Music will be shared by the Chancel Choir and I’ll share the sermon. Both Victor DeSousa and Richard Wade will share a word of testimony.

In addition this weekend you can order a carnation to be placed in the worship service on Father’s day, in honor or memory of a special man in your life. And, you can sigh up for the United Methodist Men’s upcoming bowling and baseball game events. There is indeed much good in the church called Trinity – be sure to come and celebrate it this weekend!
