Commitment Weekend (Don’t forget your pledge cards!) Nov 5th – 6th

Dear Trinity family,

The Trinity ministry is buzzing. Our Lord’s Pantry gave food to about 20 families, and another 4000 pounds of food was picked up in Phillipsburg and stored on pantry shelves. The Thrift Shop is receiving about one donation an hour and as usual, there are about a dozen shoppers buying good low cost items. Three men moved 136 turkeys in preparation for our Thanksgiving distribution to 450 families in 2 weeks. Our main building is filled with over 60 students from a Christian home school co-op. A parishioner walked in and needed my counsel on a serious matter and we prayed before she left.

A volunteer asked me how her grandchildren could get involved in mission, and a church member emailed their joy at just having signed up to go to Haiti. A board member helped us move forward in the plan to advertise Christmas Eve worship services on a Budd Lake billboard. A text asked for a reference to a Christian counselor and it was quickly given. And it’s only 12:40pm on Thursday. Later 4 music groups held rehearsals, 3 small groups met on campus, the Christmas play had a rehearsal and a Finance Ministry Team had a meeting.

And this is Commitment Weekend …we ask you to bring your commitment cards to worship in support of keeping this ministry going in 2017. Cards will be placed on the altar of the church in all services.

SATURDAY NIGHT WORSHIP – 5:00 in Trinity House – The Meanz of Grace Praise Band provides music and Pastor Don Gebhard shares the message.  Holy Communion will be celebrated.

8:15 – Chapel Worship – Pastor Jenny Smith Walz will lead and preach. Holy Communion will be shared.

9:15 – Contemporary Sanctuary Worship- The Celebration Praise band offers their music, and I’ll lead the service. Special guests Lisa Baldwin and David Haney will offer “A Message in Music.”

10:45 – Traditional Sanctuary Worship – Our Chancel Choir offers special music, and I’ll lead the service. David and Lisa will again share their gift of music with us.

At all worship services our children are invited to bring a Candy Tithe – 10% of their Halloween candy to share with others. Extra commitment cards will be available in our worship spaces. This is an important weekend for Trinity. I hope you will be present to share the joy of our continuing ministry.

Together in Christ’s service,
