Worship This Weekend in December

Update: December 10th and December 11th

Have you ever gotten news that changed your life? Perhaps a phone call about a death in the family. Maybe the boss telling you that you were fired. Maybe a spouse announcing a divorcee. We all occasionally get news that changes our lives and sometimes it is good…with the news of a baby coming being one of the best things we can hear. But it was not quite that way with Joseph. This weekend we look at the life and world changing news about the baby Jesus that came to Joseph in a dream. The Bible passage is Matthew 1:18 – 25.

Pastor Don Gebhard shares the message and the Meanz of Grace Praise Band leads in music at 5:00 in Trinity House

8:15 am – Our Chapel worship service is led by Pastor Paul Wells with music by his wife, Jan.
9:15 am – The Contemporary Sanctuary worship service centers on the Christmas Pageant, shared by our children and youth. The Backwards Christmas Story is a fun re-telling of the birth of Jesus, with lots of children participating.
10:45 am – The Traditional Sanctuary worship service includes music by the Chancel Choir, the Peace Ringers and the Music Makers. I’ll share the sermon.

In all services we light the third Advent candle on our wreath, and after and before worship you can order a Christmas poinsettia to grace our worship spaces on Christmas. This will be your last opportunity to order them.

Also before and after worship there will be two special “shopping” opportunities. There will be Peruvian scarves for sale, with proceeds benefitting our mission trip to Peru next year, and the Haiti Mission team will have special Christmas cards you can buy, in support of the mission to Haiti in January. Finally, please be aware of all coming Christmas worship services. Here is the link. Pass it on to family and friends you’d like to invite to worship.

Among the busyness of these days, please make time for God in worship.
