Caravan of Hope
Once again, Trinity will take very seriously Jesus’ word to feed the hungry when we’ll feed hundreds of people on Saturday, September 26th.
In the past two years, we’ve fed 5,000 people in one day at soup kitchens, missions, churches, and other locations around our region. This year, we’re a bit constrained by COVID, but again, we’ll feed many — we expect about 2,000 people.
Packing the individual meal boxes will be done differently, of course, so as to be socially distanced and very safe. But on the 26th, teams of people will leave our parking lot packed with meals for delivery to numerous locations. Our thanks to Caravan leaders Glenn Ashton and Jane Dewitt and the team of 10 folks who have been working on this important ministry.
AND YOU CAN HELP.
We again will place care notes in each box. So why not write 5 – 10 notes to the recipients of these meal boxes, notes of encouragement, prayer, and affirmation, maybe with a Bible passage. (Sign your first name only, and do not give out any contact information.) Bring your notes to the church office by September 15th.
