From The Lord’s Pantry
Thank you to everyone who supported our Drive-Thru Food Drive. This is a very different year, and we truly appreciate the flexibility of our volunteers and church community.
Speaking of volunteers, we give a huge THANK YOU to the people who give their time to help others at the Pantry. We couldn't continue to serve people in need without you! The pandemic has significantly reduced our staff numbers, and we have a great need for new volunteers. Please consider donating your time, either serving one day a week, becoming our substitute coordinator, or being a substitute. Pandemic protocols are in place, and people need our help now more than ever.
We’ll be distributing Thanksgiving food baskets to our clients, which will include a turkey and everything needed for a complete dinner. This year, we’re especially in need of turkeys. If you get a free turkey at your grocery store and you won’t be using it, we could definitely use it at the Pantry.
Happy Thanksgiving from all of us here at the Lord's Pantry!
The pantry is open Monday – Thursday, 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. and Tuesday night, 5 – 7 p.m. Monetary donations can be mailed to the church office, marked "Lord's Pantry" in the memo section. Food donations can be left at the church office or dropped off when we’re open.
During September, we served 792 people (266 families): 450 adults, 236 children and 106 seniors.
