The Music Makers is a choir of young singers who range from 4th to 8th grade. Traditional, contemporary, and gospel anthems provide the opportunity for these young singers to grow spiritually and musically.A variety of musical instruments are often featured, and brass, reeds, Caribbean rhythm and even train whistle sounds are included in the joyful anthems. This group provides music for the 10:45 a.m. Sunday service monthly from September through June, along with special music at the 5:30 p.m. Christmas Eve service.
Karen Reed is the director of the Music Makers. Mrs. Reed has a music degree from Wittenberg University and enjoys working with young singers, helping them to expand their knowledge and love of music in a spiritual setting.
Rehearsals are held on Mondays from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Music Room. New members are always welcome to the Music Makers. For more information, please contact Karen Reed.
