Pastor Deb Shares Her Thoughts
A Word from Pastor Deb
My dear friends,
I hope you have found a rhythm in the midst of our stay-at-home order that not only allows you to work or study, but also to refresh and renew. As the days grow longer and the sun shines more, I hope you’re finding time to safely go outside and enjoy God’s beautiful creation.
I hope you’re finding the opportunities in these times. There are opportunities that we have now simply because our typical busyness and hectic schedules have been paused. Are you enjoying time with the people in your household? Are you trying new recipes? Maybe you’re learning a new language or hobby. Maybe you have never read the entire Bible. Now would be a good time to give that a try. There are a lot of ways to spend our time that is not frenetic, hurried, or rushed. There are a lot of things we can still do to connect with other people. This is a time like no other when we’re called to be creative. We are, after all, made in the image of a creator God. We can all be creative in different ways.
We don’t know how long this will last. Life on the other side of Covid-19 will probably be very different than life as we ever knew it. My hope and prayer are that on the other side we’ll be more loving, more creative, kinder, and more caring. The other side of this can look more like the kingdom of God if we let it.
Peace and love!
P.S. Be on the lookout for a special summer small group for everyone. Details to come soon.
