Questions We Ponder Sermon Series
2017

June 24th & 25th – Worship This Weekend

Dear Trinity family,

It’s not fair. You’ve heard that many times. You’ve said it. I’ve said it. That’s why this weekend’s theme at Trinity is going to be a challenging one. We start a 4 week sermon series on ‘QUESTIONS WE PONDER ‘ The question this week is “Is God Fair? ”
You can begin to struggle with this question by reading the Bible passage for this weekend. It’s in Matthew 20:1-16. I’m having some fun thinking about how to prepare my message so I hope you’ll come to worship.

SATURDAY AT 5:00 IN TRINITY HOUSE
The Meanz of Grace praise band will provide music and I’ll share the sermon.

SUNDAY
8:15 CHAPEL WORSHIP – Pastor Jenny Smith Walz will lead our service and preach.

9:15 CONTEMPORARY SANCTUARY WORSHIP – The Celebration Praise Band will lead us in music and we’ll begin our summer plan of having Children’s time and Creative Activities during this service. Children from age 4 through grade 4 can leave the sanctuary service after a few minutes and spend time learning a lesson as worship continues. We’ll recognize our Junior Prayer Shawl ministry, and I’ll share the sermon.

10:45 TRADITIONAL SANCTUARY WORSHIP –
Special music will be shared by Donna Torkos. I’ll share the sermon. Children’s Time and Creative Activities continue as usual.

We’ll have a moment for mission in all but our chapel service when Jennifer Cramer from International Child Care comes to talk with us. ICC is the parent organization of Grace Children’s Hospital in Haiti, with whom we have partnered for 30 years.

Our God sightings boards will be out for the first time. Have you seen evidence of God recently? Then write a few words down on our boards for all to read. They’re near the worship entrances.

Feel free to wear comfortable clothes as the warm weather dictates, and remember that our Chapel and Trinity House (SNW) are air conditioned. Our sanctuary is fan conditioned.

What do you think the following have in common?
M&M’s, Gym locker clothes and The Bible.

They all are part of our Celebrate Good News moments in worship this weekend. You’ll have to come to worship to hear the details!

The last time I checked God doesn’t ever take a vacation from us. So let’s not take a vacation from God just because its summer and school’s out. Join your church family in one of our 4 energizing and spirit filled worship services this weekend.

Blessings and peace,

Frank
