UMM Matters

The UMM will continue to meet virtually using ZOOM until it’s deemed safe to meet in person. We’re currently planning on being virtual through at least this December. Our meetings, when virtual, will meet from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. on the second Saturday of every month.

If you need the phone call-in ZOOM number, please contact Bill Blaskopf directly at

September’s meeting, while attendance was low, was well received. Learning that astronaut Buzz Aldrin administered communion to himself before exiting the LEM led to interesting conversations. The report for October’s meeting with Mr. Joshua Cutler, the Director of the Buddhist Center in Washington, NJ, will be in next month’s Tidings.

Our Understanding Our Neighbors program continues with November’s meeting. On November 14th, we’ll have Dr. Rajan Banadru of the Hindu Center in Somerset speak to us on what it means to be a Hindu. We hope you’ll participate via ZOOM!

Please watch for the details of our Advent celebration on December 12th.

As you know, this year the UMM was able to award $2,000 in scholarships to three of Trinity’s graduating high school seniors. Please continue supporting our fundraising efforts. Here are our currently scheduled fundraisers:

 October 17th - November 22nd, we’ll partner with Donaldson’s Farms to sell live Christmas wreaths.

 January 2nd - January 31st will be our Annual Hoagie Sale, with the hoagies being delivered on February 6th and 7th in time for Super Bowl Sunday.

 In honor of Earth Day on April 22nd, we’ll be taking orders for Fair Trade coffee, tea, and/or chocolate.

The UMM invites all members of Trinity to join us in sharing our community and commitment to our God.
