Small Groups
The small-group strategy played a powerful and crucial role in the rapid expansion of the Wesleyan movement. John Wesley stressed the importance of preaching "in as many places as you can" and starting "as many classes as you can."
When people come together in small fellowships and groups to pray together, study God's Word together, bear one another's burdens, and care for one another, they cannot help but grow in love for one another. This growth then leads them to speak the truth in love and to grow into the likeness of Jesus the Christ. God's redemptive action takes place in people's hearts.
Here at Trinity United Methodist Church, we have nearly 30 years of small group ministry. We have groups for those who may be just at the beginning of their Christian journey as well as for those who have already delved deeply into matters of faith and discipleship and await new opportunities. We also have groups for those in between.
Trinity offers many small group and adult education opportunities to help you in your discipleship, your following of Jesus. We offer groups that are long-term and continue from year to year as well as short-term groups that last several weeks. We have groups based on a variety of topics or affinities and fellowship as well as Bible Studies. If you have questions or would like to talk about our small group and adult education ministry, please contact Pastor Deb De Vos at [email protected].
Small Groups are meant to help you find ways to become more intentional in your discipleship journey by providing many opportunities to join others in our Trinity family to study, serve, pray, gather, explore, give, and more. There is power in gathering with our Christian sisters and brothers, and if you haven't had an experience like this yet, please join us! All are welcome!
